Sealed proposals are invited for the Roadside Mowing Program for 453.5 miles of county roads during 2026, for the maintenance of Gallia County's highways in accordance with specifications available at the Gallia County Engineer's Office. The work includes furnishing labor, equipment, and necessary materials. Bidders may submit bids for individual sections or combined sections. Instructions to bidders include: - Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond for 100% of the bid or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit for not less than 10% of the bid amount. - Bid bonds require proof of authority from the signatory. - Bids must be sealed, marked as "BID FOR 2026 GALLIA COUNTY ROADSIDE MOWING PROGRAM," and delivered to the Gallia County Commissioners Office. - Bidders must meet all requirements given in the bid packet, including insurance, federal prevailing wage, equal opportunity provisions, and provide a payment and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. - Bids cannot be withdrawn within thirty days after opening. - The Gallia County Engineer reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to award the contract based on the lowest and/or best proposal.
