2026 Preble County Guardrail Program - Fencing Bids are requested for the 2026 Preble County Guardrail Program. Bids must be delivered up to 11:00 a.m. on April 8, 2026, at the Office of the Preble County Commissioners. The outside of the envelope must be clearly marked as a sealed bid for the project. An original and a copy of the bid must be included in the sealed envelope. The bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the bid and all persons interested in the bid. Bidders must submit evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity and provide a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. The project completion date is December 4, 2026, and prevailing state wage rates must be used. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check or a bid bond. The check must be 10% of the bid, and the bid bond must be 100% of the bid, including the base bid and any alternates. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond for the total amount of the project. An agreement is included in the bid packet for informational purposes. If the bid is accepted, the contractor will be expected to sign the agreement. Specifications for the project are available at the Preble County Engineers Office.
