Demolition, site work and new construction of a civil project in Hodges, Alabama. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
Furnish and install approximately 4,600 LF of 6" water main, fire hydrants, miscellaneous valves, fittings, accessories, and install one pressure reducing valve and accessories. Additive alternates include furnishing and installing 1,700 LF of 2" PVC water line along Holland Loop Road and 2,000 LF of 2" PVC water line along Elgin Cochran Road. The contract time is 120 consecutive calendar days, with liquidated damages if the contract time is exceeded. Extensions must be approved prior to completion date. Plans and specifications are available at the Town of Hodges office or may be obtained from the engineers upon payment of a deposit. The deposit is refunded in full to each prime contractor submitting a bid. All guidelines for ARPA Funded Projects apply. Instructions to bidders include the requirement to contact the office if they wish to place a bid. There will be no PreBid meeting. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
