Renovation of a mixed-use development in North New Hyde Park, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and clubhouse / community center.
Separate prime contract sealed bids are requested for boiler replacements at Herricks Community Center and Herricks High School. Bids must be submitted to the Administrative Offices at the Herricks Community Center. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or may be rejected within 45 days of opening. The School District reserves the right to waive informalities, accept or reject any alternatives, reject proposals, or advertise for new proposals. Each proposal must include bid security equal to ten percent of the total bid amount. Bidders are encouraged to attend a non-mandatory pre-bid conference and walkthrough. The School District may modify the construction schedule due to restrictions imposed by state, federal, or local authorities, and the only remedy for such delays is an extension of time at the Owner's discretion. No additional compensation will be given for schedule modifications due to such restrictions.
