Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY This project consists of the rehabilitation of three (3) existing fields (football and soccer) into 1 Regulation sized football field and 1 U10 sized soccer field. Work will generally consist ofremoval of overused topsoil areas, followed by new topsoil placement, sodding, and establishment of new natural grass turf. Additional improvements will include the installation ofnew soccer and football goals, bleachers with concrete pads, as well as team benches for each ofthe fields. Removing the existing softball infield mix. Removing and disposing ofexisting amenities such as bleachers, soccer goals, and benches. Identifying and removing areas ofpoor topsoil appropriately 2"-3" inches deep. Replacing identified with 4 inches oftopsoil, sod, and preparing grade for topsoil. Water new sod after installation, twice a day for the following 25 days to establish roots. Installing Football goals with ground sleeves, sports padding, and foundations. Installing Regulation Soccer goals Marking the field with 4" wide field striping and lettering. Restore all disturbed areas in kind in the same condition or better prior to commencing improvements. This shall include topsoiling, seeding, and fertilizing. All related incidental work, including but not limited to, maintenance and protection oftraffic, dust control, soil erosion, and cleaning and restoration. Sealed bids are requested for improvements at Milt Campbell Field in the City of Plainfield, Union County, New Jersey. Bid forms, contracts, and specifications must be obtained through Remington & Vernick Engineers, with arrangements made for purchase and delivery. Bids must be submitted on the designated form, enclosed in sealed envelopes with the bidder's name, address, and reference to the specific work. Each bid requires a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for at least ten percent (10%)--not to exceed $20,000--of the bid amount, and a certificate letter from a surety company for a completion bond. Bidders must comply with applicable laws, including affirmative action, prevailing wage, public works contractor registration, business registration requirements, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The City reserves the right to consider bids for 60 days, reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and make such awards as are in its best interest. The contract is subject to the availability of necessary funds and required permits. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. Any and all such interpretations and/or supplemental instructions will be in the form of written addenda to the specifications, which if issued, will be issued in accordance with applicable State Laws
