Renovation of an educational facility in Burns Lake, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Provide new, complete, operational, and tested mechanical systems for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and controls systems as described herein, indicated on the drawings and in conformance with applicable codes and standards. Provide all labour, materials, and products as specified as required to accomplish this work. The scope of HVAC work for this project generally includes: .1 Condensing boilers (12) and chimneys. .2 Hydronic pumps (12). .3 Heating water piping and pipe insulation. .4 Pre-operational pipe cleaning and Chemical treatment. .5 Direct digital controls. .6 Water systems balancing. .7 Verification of HVAC systems operation and controls. Plumbing work includes the following: .1 Instantaneous domestic hot water heater connections to combi boilers (2). .2 Connection combi boilers to new DWH storage tank and cold and hot water piping. .3 Natural gas piping and hook-up of new heating boilers. .4 Condensate drains for new condensing boilers. .5 New domestic hot water recirculation pumps (2). .6 Re-connection of water make-up line and glycol fill tank to heating system. Demolition and builder's work includes the following: .1 Removal of redundant boilers and piping. .2 Removal of redundant domestic water heaters and piping. .3 Concrete housekeeping pads in boiler room. .4 Painting of exposed natural gas piping. .5 Removal of existing circulation pumps (2). .6 Other demolition, remediation, etc., as described in the Specification and on the Drawings. Electrical work includes the following: .1 Electrical power supply to mechanical equipment. .2 Removal and re-installation or replacement of miscellaneous electrical devices, as required to facilitate the project work Hazardous Materials Work to be performed by the Owner: .1 The cost of hazardous materials work will be covered by the Owner. .2 The successful Proponent will meet with the Owner and Consultant to identify areas where existing building surfaces will be disturbed. .3 Based on such information the Owner will engage an independent Hazardous Materials Abatement Contractor to prepare openings, etc. in advance of the Contractor commencing work. .4 Should the Contractor have concerns for an area of the building which has not been covered in the report, the contractor shall stop work immediately and notify the Owner and Consultant who will engage the Hazardous Materials Consultant to review. The mechanical contractor shall act as the Prime Contractor for this project, responsible for the coordination of all trades required to carry out the work as described herein. Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca Question Deadline 04/21/2026 Inquiries during the tender period may be directed to the appropriate consultant but must be copied to the prime consultant. Inquiries are to be submitted by e-mail or facsimile only. Any questions requiring clarification by Addenda must be submitted to the Consultant at least (5) working days prior to tender close, after which the final addendum will be issued, if necessary.
