Project consists of renovation of the Children's Area within the existing library including reconfiguring the layout, integrating furniture (by Owner), upgrading finishes, creating private areas, support for vision and healthcare services, an alternate for adding an exterior deck and related exterior work, and other work indicated in the contract documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's or trust company treasurer's check, or approved Surety Company's bid bond, made payable to the County of Erie in the amount of 10 percent (10%) of the base bid as a security. Procurement and Contracting Requirements, including instructions to bidders, drawings and specifications may be accessed online and reviewed at no cost by prospective bidders through contacting the designated representative. Questions during the bid period shall be directed to the office of the architect. Refer to instructions to bidders and other procurement and bidding information for additional requirements. All contracts exceeding $10,000 shall contain a provision requiring compliance with Executive order 11246, entitled, "Equal Employment Opportunity," as amended by Executive order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). Project Labor Agreement compliance shall apply. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set forth in the opening of bids.
