This project is for roadside and clear vision corner mowing services along various trunkline routes including US-223, M-52, M-50, US-12, M-156, and M-34 in Lenawee County. The purpose is to maintain state trunkline roadsides per MDOT specifications and standards. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and incidental services or items required to perform the contract activities at the specified frequencies and locations. Roadside mowing operations include flat area mowing, clear vision mowing, hand trimming, litter pickup, and traffic control. The contractor is responsible for trimming grass and vegetation around signs, bridge abutments, piers, landscaped areas, and other appurtenances inaccessible by larger equipment. All contract activities are to be performed between June 1 and October 31 of each contract year. The contractor must furnish and maintain suitable equipment, ensure sufficient qualified workers, and complete all contract activities as scheduled by the state. The contractor must respond to each requirement or question set forth, providing an explanation of how each will be fulfilled. Bidders must read all proposal instructions, follow the requirements in the RFP structure (including completion of specific forms and schedules), and submit all required documents in the specified formats by the proposal deadline. Proposals must include a complete response to the items indicated, and all documentation becomes public record upon receipt.
