Site work for a mixed-use development in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of the Contractor furnishing all tools, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to install curb & gutter, sidewalk, landscaping, water main, water services, storm drain pipes, storm infiltration, reconstruct streets, and any additional items specifically defined in the Bid Documents. Bidders must obtain the complete set of project bidding documents from specified sources to be included on the official Plan Holders List; bids from those not on the list will be deemed non-responsive. All bids must be signed and include evidence of authority to sign, and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or cash in the amount of 5% of the bid proposal. Bid security will be forfeited as liquidated damages if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract according to their proposal. The Owner will investigate the low Bidder's performance record and ability to complete the specified work, and may request information to evaluate qualifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive nonmaterial irregularities, and accept the proposal deemed most advantageous. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
