Description

Renovation of a museum in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. Working plans call for the renovation of a museum.

The project generally consists of the following: wood shingle roofing installation and associated copper flashing and roof drainage system upgrades, wood shingle and clapboard siding restoration, finish carpentry repairs at exterior, selective demolition in interior to access framing, framing upgrades, installation of an accessible ramp, stone and brick masonry repairs & restoration, and exterior surface preparation and painting. Qualified contractors should specialize in or have subcontractors who specialize in wood shingle roofing, copper gutters, and flashing, wood siding and trim repair, structural framing upgrades, masonry restoration, and exterior surface preparation and painting. Pre-qualification requirements: All prospective bidders must demonstrate experience in the successful completion of projects of similar scope and nature that followed the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties (Revised 1995) performed to the satisfaction of the Owner.
