The Salt Lake City Public Library System is seeking proposals from qualified General Contractors and/or qualified Cladding Contractors to provide comprehensive architectural cladding removal, cladding replacement, exterior patio resurfacing services, and waterproof membrane placement on the patio for the Marmalade Branch Library. The project location is the Marmalade Branch at 280 W 500 N, Salt Lake City, UT 84103. The City Library has established a Total Construction Budget of: $400,000.In addition the Library has established $40,000 in Construction Contingency. The Work consists of the following: A brief overview of the Work is described below, but General Contractors shall refer to the full & complete Drawings and Specifications (Project Manual), the Invitation to Bid and any Addenda issued during Bidding. As a summary, the Work includes: 1. At the existing 2nd floor deck locations, placement of new waterproof membrane over existing product as part of a warranty-related remediation effort. Owner requests the Contractor to remove the existing planters as part of this Scope; re-installing planters as part of the finished work. 2. Removal of existing cement board cladding and replacement with a new product (as specified) using the same panel module; REFER TO DRAWINGS. 3. Installation of new decking system over existing walkable membrane. System shall include access points at existing roof drains, sloped transitions from existing finished floor to new deck level elevation; 4. Replacement of (4) storefront doors to change the direction of the swing (from outswing to inswing) and new hardware to match the existing system.
