This is a 13,775 square foot combination police and fire substation. Police square footage is estimated at 2,175 and fire 11,600. Property for the substation will be provided by a developer. This is a three-bay station for fire and a police fenced enclosure for security of vehicles. The interior of the police station will have detainee space, officer furniture and equipment , evidence lockers, CAD and a dispatch console. Fire space will be fully equipped to address regional calls and services. Facility siting is on developer-provided property or possible acquisition that is not included in this estimate. This will provide public safety services at a faster response rate in the outlying areas than in the two current locations. The new communities entering the municipal boundaries will be provided coverage. The project is included in the City's 2026-2035 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
