Renovation of a swimming pool in Girard, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
The project will generally consist of the removal and replacement of the marcite lining of the two outdoor municipal pools as well as general restoration activities. Work shall include the removal and replacement ofthe existing interior pool finish with a new white marcite (i.e. white plaster) system. The scope ofwork shall include: Surface preparation and demolition o Substrate inspection and repair o Application ofmarcite plaster finish o Start up, curing and water balancing Related work shall include: Concrete repair o Tile and coping (if applicable) o Pool mechanical systems No physical work may be initiated prior to August 24,2026 and all work must be completed by October 2, 2026. Contract documents, including drawings and technical specifications, may be reviewed at the Girard Borough Municipal Building. Copies may be obtained for a non-refundable deposit. Addenda, if any, will be issued only to those whose name and address are on record as having obtained the contract documents. A Bid Bond equal to ten percent of the total bid must be submitted with each bid. Bids without a Bid Bond will be rejected. Bidders must be qualified in accordance with Borough requirements. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for up to 60 days from the opening date for review and investigation of bidder qualifications prior to awarding the contract.
