Sealed bids are solicited for the Unit #8 Boiler Chemical Cleaning at the Lon D. Wright Power Plant for the City of Fremont. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes marked "Unit #8 Boiler Chemical Cleaning" and accompanied by a bid security of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid price in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, bank draft from a solvent Nebraska bank insured by FDIC, or a bid bond. The bid security must guarantee the bidder's good faith to enter into a contract within sixty (60) days at the bid price if accepted. Bids without proper bid security will not be considered. The City reserves the right to accept the bid it judges will deliver the best workmanship and material, not necessarily the lowest bid, and may reject any or all bids or waive informalities. The successful bidder must submit an acceptable Affirmative Action Statement and Program to the Office of the Mayor within ten (10) days after award, and furnish a Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bond for 100% of the contract price for one year after project completion. Before final payment, the contractor must provide written clearance from the Nebraska Commissioner of Labor confirming all unemployment fund payments under the contract have been made by the contractor or their subcontractors.
