Bids are sought for a 2026 Asphalt Overlay project for the City of Columbus, Indiana. Bids must be submitted electronically through Ion Wave Technologies, and only bids submitted via this system will be accepted. All Bid Responses must be completed on the forms provided by the City. Contractors and subcontractors must submit a notarized Comprehensive Compliance Form addressing requirements concerning Affirmative Action, Disqualification of Contracts Dealing with the Government of Iran, a Drug Free Workplace, OSHA and IOSHA Regulations, and Employment Eligibility Verification. Failure to submit the CCF will be considered a material defect. A bid bond or certified check equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, payable to the City of Columbus, must be uploaded with each Bid Response. The lowest apparent bidder must provide the original bid bond to the Finance Department within 72 hours of bid opening. Bonds must come from a company listed in the U.S. Treasury Department Circular #570 and be authorized in Indiana. The bid bond must include a power of attorney for the agent signing it. The successful bidder must provide a 100% performance and payment bond. Bidders should be prepared to promptly enter into a construction contract, provide the required bond, and certificate of insurance, and begin work without delay. Contract documents with detailed drawings, plans, and specifications are available online. All questions about the project must be submitted electronically through Ion Wave. The City of Columbus disclaims responsibility for solicitations received in any other manner.
