Site work for a water / sewer project in Edenton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of the following major items: 2,800 LF of new 8-inch C-900 PVC water main; 1 new fire hydrant assembly; 450 SY of clearing and grubbing; 15 LF of new 24-inch corrugated plastic pipe with new 24-inch flared-in section; miscellaneous appurtenances including erosion control, tapping sleeve and valve, reducer, etc. Bidders are required to make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned businesses and woman business enterprises. Bid security in the amount of five percent of the bid must accompany each bid. Bidders must show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work. Complete bidding documents may be obtained upon submitting a non-refundable fee for each set of documents. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. Unless all bids are rejected, award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance, and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the contract. After bids are opened, the owner will evaluate them according to the criteria set forth in the instructions to bidders. Question Deadline 04/22/2026 Questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions may be emailed. Questions will not be taken by phone.
