Playground Installation, Bostonia Elementary. Installation of new TK Playground within existing playground area. The project will consist of furnishing and installation of fencing, demo of existing asphalt, excavation,installation of concrete curbs, installation of new playground structure and associated wood chip fall zone surface system as shown in the contract documents. Playground equipment is owner purchased and contractor installed. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to coordinate the delivery, offloading, inventory, acceptance, and storage of play equipment at installer's facility until time of installation. Cost Estimate: $110,000.00. DVBE (3%) Beginning Date of Contract: June 20, 2026 Ending Date of Contract: August 8, 2026* Request Deadline: 4/6/26, 12:00 PM. Pre-Bid Meeting: Job Walk at Bostonia Global Elementary School, 1390 Broadway, El Cajon, CA 92021. Work will be completed while school is not in session during Summer Break. Contractor shall provide and install 6' temporary chain link fence panels around the area of work to protect the public and staff. Scope of Work: 1. Sawcut, remove and haul away existing asphalt and concrete materials as required to create new wood chip fall zone per the attached documents and associated code requirements. 2. Excavate soil and remove from site to a depth and area required to install new flush fall zone area. 3. Install new District purchased playground equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and associated regulatory agency requirements. Refer to attached Playworld Equipment Details, Attachment A. 4. Provide and install new wood chip fall zone area as shown in the contract documents, meeting the requirements of the manufacturer recommendations and associated regulatory agency. Excavate area to minimum depth of 16". Provide & install 4" depth 3/4 " drainage rock, drain felt and minimum depth of 12" cushioning chips. 5. Install new compliant ramp as needed to meet all ADA requirements 6. Install new 18" deep x 6" wide concrete curb on all sides as needed to create the 31' x 31' area required as shown in documents to allow for flush transition from. Concrete to be a minimum of 2500 psi and curb to have continuous #4 rebar top and bottom. Over lapping bar splices to be a minimum of 16". 7. Install new 4' chain link fencing and gates to secure area as shown in the contract documents. Fencing to be typical 9-gauge galvanized fabric and schedule 40 posts. Gates and hardware to match existing chain link systems onsite. 8. At the area shown in the site map, adjacent to new fencing, remove existing grass lawn, cap and isolate irrigation, and remove soil to allow for new 3'' over native installation of asphalt. Asphalt to flush out with all adjacent areas.
