The work consists of asphalt paving at various locations. The bid must include labor, materials, and equipment, using 2-inch asphalt unless otherwise specified, milling, and tie-ins. All areas to be milled are to be completed entirely, not just at tie ends. Two-inch full-depth milling is required on all areas, and milled materials are to be hauled off-site. The area must be cleared of loose debris and vegetation. Tack should be applied to areas with hills or sharp turns only. Place and compact 2 inches of wearing (1-inch asphalt) in prepared areas. Measurement of each section must be verified, and all bids should reflect the same. The cost for each section should be provided in the order listed. Each entrance should go back 20 feet unless otherwise noted and tie into the existing pavement or concrete. Asphalt tickets must be turned in with the invoice upon completion of work. The paving committee has the authority to accept or reject any bid without providing a reason. Each bid must include license and insurance. Sealing of cracks is to be priced at $1.00 per foot, specifically from 40th St to 20th St. Provisions are included for projected paving in both spring and fall, unless all work is approved to be done at one time.
