Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Chesapeake, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Sealed bids are requested for the Chesapeake Community Center HVAC Improvement Project. Bids must comply with project specifications and be submitted on forms provided by the Lawrence County Port Authority. A bid guarantee or contract bond amounting to 5% of the bid is required, which may be provided as a bond, certified check, cashier's check, or money order. The estimated construction cost is $290,000. Bidders must list all parties involved in the proposal and provide evidence of experience with projects of similar size and complexity. Prevailing wage rates apply, and contractors must comply with equal employment opportunity regulations and have a drug-free workplace program. Non-discrimination in hiring and employment is mandatory. The authority reserves the right to accept or reject any proposals, waive informalities, and contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, holding bids for up to 60 days if needed. To be given consideration, request for such interpretation must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids
