Des Moines Water Works is requesting proposals from qualified landscaping firms to provide planting and maintenance services within the Fleur Drive traffic medians in Des Moines, Iowa. The work includes seasonal planting and ongoing maintenance for multiple medians along Fleur Drive between Gray’s Lake and the Des Moines International Airport. Services generally include spring clean-up, installation of summer annuals, perennial replacement, fall planting, bulb installation, watering, fertilization, chemical treatments, and routine inspections. The project requires work within active roadway medians. Contractors are responsible for complying with all traffic control requirements and obtaining any necessary permits, including coordination with the City of Des Moines. Plant materials will be provided by Des Moines Water Works. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, traffic control, and supervision necessary to complete the work in accordance with the RFP documents and associated plans.
