This project consists of approximately 65 miles of road striping as well as the installation of 5,439 Raised Pavement Markers (RPMs). Bids are solicited from experienced and qualified General Contractors for various types of road improvement work, including but not limited to installation of asphalt milling, base repair, asphalt paving striping, and shoulder reconstruction. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, shall be required of the successful bidder upon award of the contract. Each bond must be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids, and may reject a bid if the bidder is unqualified or fails to meet any criteria established by the owner. The bidder agrees that the bid shall remain an option for the owner to accept or reject for sixty (60) calendar days from the date it is opened and read, during which the proposal is not subject to withdrawal. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to OWNER. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by OWNER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Questions received after 18th April 2026 may not be answered.
