The work consists of the replacement of traffic signal systems, Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) sidewalks, PCC pavement, pavement markings, traffic signage, and other incidental items in accordance with the contract documents, located at Merle Hay Road and Meredith Drive and at Merle Hay Road and the eastbound ramps of I-80/I-35, as well as other locations directed by the City Engineer in Des Moines, Iowa. All work must be fully completed by December 31, 2026. Instructions to bidders: - Sealed bids must be filed at the office of the City Clerk, 2nd Floor, T.M. Franklin Cownie City Administration Building, 1200 Locust Street, Des Moines, Iowa, 50309, by 11:00 a.m. on April 21, 2026. - Bids will be opened and tabulated at 11:00 a.m. on April 21, 2026, in the City Council Chambers, 1st Floor, for consideration by the City Council at its meeting on May 4, 2026. - Each bidder must include bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the Jurisdiction. - Copies of contract documents will be available after April 6, 2026, from the City Engineer's Office, 4th Floor, T.M.
