The project requires furnishing materials and labor to complete the Electrical Construction scope associated with switchgear replacement and upgrades, ceiling removal, concrete housekeeping pad placement, lighting modifications, and associated work specified within the 2019 Bond Project. The bid shall be on a stipulated sum basis. Bids shall not include New York State sales and compensating use taxes on materials and supplies incorporated into the work, as the Owner is exempt from these taxes. Two copies of sealed bids must be submitted in a clearly labeled envelope to the designated district address by the specified date and time. Late bids will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud after the specified receipt time. Each Bidder must submit Bid Security in the amount and form as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. All bids will remain subject to acceptance for sixty days after the bid opening. A full performance bond and labor and material payment bonds, in a form acceptable to the Owner, will be required of the successful Bidder for the full contract amount. The award is subject to appropriation of funds and must meet the requirements of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and all other applicable statutes. All documents submitted with the bid become the property of the Owner and will not be returned. Contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidders, but the Owner reserves the right to reject all bids or waive any informality or irregularity it deems immaterial. The award is expected to be made by May 14, 2026. Provide Generators for any power tools and temporary lighting when buildings are shut down, generators should have enough power to keep IT, Fire Alarm, and Security Systems online during shutdown, these generators will be re-fueled and supervised as necessary at the Prime Contractor's expense. D. Demolish existing switchgear to be removed as identified in the Contract Drawings and install new switchgear and pad. E. The Prime Contractor will be responsible for accepting delivery of the new switchgear in the District and storing it in the Prime Contractor's storage facility at the Prime Contractor's expense until it is ready to be installed. F. Install new Transformer and pad at Balmville Elementary School and run new underground conduit and wires as shown in the Contract Drawings.
