Sealed proposals are requested for the Merchant Street and 11th Street Improvements project. The scope of work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and performing all tasks set forth in the advertisement, general conditions, drawings, and specifications. The project involves the construction of new streetscape and public realm amenities, as well as the related roadway improvements, paving, and utility work. All materials and work must conform to the applicable parts of the contract documents. Each proposal must be accompanied by either a certified check or surety company bid bond amounting to at least ten percent (10%) of the contract amount, payable to the Borough of Ambridge. Minimum wage rates for each craft or classification are governed by State Prevailing Wage Rates. Upon award of the contract, a 100% performance bond, 100% payment bond, and a 10% maintenance bond are required. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the bid opening. Bids must be sealed, clearly marked, and delivered to the specified address. The Borough reserves the right to reject any part or all proposals, or waive any irregularity when it is deemed advantageous to the Borough.
