Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Davenport, Iowa. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility.
Davenport Community School District requests a quote to demolish the old armory house and the old brick barn off Brady Street and 36th Street. The project includes demolition and removal of buildings and site improvements; removing driveway, paving, and sidewalks associated with the entrance from Brady Street and installing new curb and sidewalk where the driveway is removed; installing fill, 6" topsoil, and grass seed to establish grade at all areas of building and paving demolition with final grade to match existing adjacent areas; removing below-grade construction (basement, foundations, or other construction); disconnecting, capping, and/or sealing, and removing site utilities to existing buildings in coordination with local utility providers; detaching and disposing of items from existing construction off-site; demolition waste becomes property of Contractor unless otherwise indicated; arranging demolition schedule to avoid interference with operations of adjacent occupied buildings; reviewing and finalizing protection requirements; reviewing procedures for noise and dust control; reviewing procedures for protection of adjacent buildings; submitting a report with Drawings indicating proposed protection measures for individuals, property, environmental protection, dust and noise control, and barrier construction; detailing special measures to protect adjacent buildings, paving, and site areas to remain, including means of egress; coordinating utility shutoff and capping with providers; providing a detailed sequence of demolition work with starting and ending dates for each activity; submitting a statement of refrigerant recovery signed by the responsible technician, including certification and date. Question Deadline 04/21/2026 Any person contemplating, submitting a bid on this project and is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the drawings, specifications, or other proposed construction documents, shall submit to the District in writing a request for an interpretation. Request should be received not less than seven (7) calendar days before the bid date.
