Sealed bids are requested for furnishing all labor and material and performing all work necessary and incidental to the completion of bid packages for the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office Administration Building. This includes, but is not limited to, Testing Laboratory Services, Temporary Fencing, Survey and Field Engineering, Tilt Up Concrete with Cast in Place, Structural Steel, and Sitework. Proposals must be sealed and clearly marked with the project name, bid package number and description, bidder's name and address, and the time and date due. Bid proposals may be submitted via BuildingConnected or by email as a single PDF document. Bid security and bonding requirements apply to proposals totaling $40,000 or greater, which must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of no less than five percent (5%) of the total base bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will enter into a written subcontract and provide required insurance and bonds. The Construction Manager reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities. Pre-qualification requirements: Interested bidders must complete Ajax Building Company, LLC's prequalification process. Only bidders meeting pre-qualification criteria, which include demonstrating adequate financial condition and assets to perform the subcontract, may bid. Contractors, businesses, and trades must be licensed in the State of Florida. The prequalification process comprises both an Annual Prequalification and a Project-Specific Prequalification. Bids may be considered non-responsive if the prequalification process is not completed.
