A proposal in possession of the Procurement Office may be modified or withdrawn by email, fax, or letter bearing the signature of the authorized bidder, provided it is received before the proposal opening deadline. Modifications must be initialed by the person signing the proposal. If the pricing portion of the proposal needs to be altered, the revised pricing must be resubmitted in a sealed envelope before the proposal opening deadline. Telephone or verbal alterations or withdrawals of a proposal will not be accepted. If a proposal is accepted and the bidder fails to furnish the agreed-upon services, the bidder may be disqualified from future consideration. Telephone, fax, or electronic submittals will not be accepted. Bidders are responsible for checking designated sites for addenda before submitting their proposal. All issued addenda must be acknowledged on the bid form. A public bid opening will be conducted, and each firm submitting a bid agrees that its bid shall remain valid for a minimum of forty-five calendar days from the bid closing date.
