Bridgeton Board of Education is seeking competitive bids for BID # FY 27-004 - HIGH SCHOOL CEILINGS - LIGHTING - FIRE ALARM. In order to access project drawings and specifications, interested bidders must be added to the official bidders list. Once on the list, access will be granted to the electronic bid documents via the Architect's ShareFile site. Bids must be sealed and delivered to the Office of the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary. All bidders must comply with Affirmative Action Against Discrimination and submit an Initial Project Workforce Report if awarded the contract. Compliance with Prevailing Wage Rate Determination is required. For work over $20,000, bidders must be prequalified by the Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, and must submit a Prequalification Affidavit, valid NOTICE OF CLASSIFICATION, certified Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts Form, and an Affidavit regarding any material changes in qualification. Each bid must include a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check for 10% of the total bid amount (not to exceed $20,000). Bidders must submit a Statement of Ownership, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Contractor Questionnaire/Certification. All required forms must be completed and returned with the bid. All contractors must possess a valid Contractor's Registration Certificate at the time bids are received. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. All questions related to the project must be submitted in writing by 12:00 PM, Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The Work consists of demolishing select existing ceilings & lighting throughout the school, new suspended grid and acoustical tile ceilings, and lighting to replace those removed, the complete removal of the existing fire alarm system & devices and an allnew voice evacuation fire alarm system & devices throughout the entire building. The new fire alarm system must be fully operational prior to the removal of the existing fire alarm system. The G.C. is responsible for the replacement of any ceiling grid components and/or tile as required for the removal of the existing fire alarm system and the installation of the new fire alarm system.
