1. Removal of 500 square feet of water-damaged flooring and subflooring to eliminate any moisture trapped beneath. Gym is located at Prospect Elementary School, 300 Prospect Avenue, Salamanca, NY 14779. 2. Reinstall new second grade MFMA Maple flooring and subflooring, utilizing laced pattern. 3. Repaired area will be sanded and finished with new painted lines as required on the repaired area. Match paint colors as much as possible. 4. Apply four coats of Hillyard Trophy H2O water-based finish. 5. Full floor should be cleaned with full-strength cleaner, applying solution with a towel. 6. Following the cleaning, entire floor should be sanded with 180 grit. 7. Vacuum; wipe clean using 100% virgin mineral spirits. 8. Tack floor with clean wet towel multiple times until the entire surface is pristine. 9. Allow to Dry 10.Reapply Hillyard Trophy H2O gym finish at a coverage rate of 500 sq ft per gallon. 11.Warranty for one year after completion. Sealed bids are requested for the repair and refinishing of wood floor. Interested and qualified vendors are invited to submit proposals in accordance with the specifications set forth in the official Request for Bid documents. All proposals must be received by April 17, 2026 at 1PM via beaconbid.com or by delivery to the District attention Tricia Wilt, District Clerk at 50 Iroquois Drive, Salamanca, NY 14779. Submissions delivered to the district office must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Wood Floor Repair & Refinishing RFP 2026-014". Late submissions will not be considered. A public bid opening will be held at the Superintendent's Office on April 17, 2026 at 1PM. The Salamanca City Central School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the District.
