The Scope of Work includes the removal and disposal of approximately 2,600 dry tons of sludge from Sludge Lagoons #1 and #2 located at the City of Blue Springs Sni-A-Bar WWTP. Removal/disposal methods shall be as selected by Contractor and shall include disposal by land application or transfer to an approved disposal facility. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Project and bidding questions shall be conducted exclusively via e-mail. Any questions regarding this project must be submitted to: nweber@cochraneng.com, by 2:00 pm local time on March 26, 2026. No written questions after this date or any verbal questions will be recognized. The City of Blue Springs anticipates issuing a Notice of Award in April 2026. The Work to be performed under the Contract shall be completed within 365 consecutive calendar days from and including the date of said written Notice to Proceed, subject to adjustment of this Contract Time as provided in the Contract Documents. Once work has commenced, remaining contract length to be reduced to 60 consecutive calendar days. The owner intends to award the contract to the most responsive, responsible bidder Submitting the lowest bid. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and To waive any irregularities in the best interest of the owner. Doc Notes: Bid packages will be distributed electronically at no cost to the bidder. When requesting the documents, you will be required to provide your company name, contact person and phone number, a complete company address and an e-mail address to be added to the Plan Holders List and for receiving official bidding communications and addenda. If you are not on the Plan Holders List, you will not receive any addenda issued. Hard copies will not be available for purchase. Bidders may make printed copies of the bid documents (plans, project manual, and a bid packet) at their own expense.
