The Project consists of but not limited to Full fire alarm system replacement including all notification and initiation devices. A new, addressable, fire alarm and detection system with voice evacuation, which shall have 60-hours of battery back-up and 15 minutes of alarm shall be provided with all associated appurtenances such as smoke detectors, heat detectors, speaker/strobes, pull stations, etc. The new fire alarm control panel is replacing an existing fire alarm control panel that serves Lincoln-Thomson building. The work is estimated to cost $150,000 The City of Lynn invites sealed bids from contractors for the Fire Alarm Replacement at Lincoln-Thompson Elementary School, 115 Gardiner Street, Lynn, Massachusetts. The project includes fire alarm upgrades. Bids are subject to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Sections 44A-J and to minimum wage requirements. Bidding will be conducted electronically, and hard copy bids will not be accepted. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in Electrical work and must provide a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. General bids and sub-bids must include a bid deposit of at least 5% of the total bid amount, including all alternates, payable to the City of Lynn.
