Site work and paving for a road / highway in Southwick, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project was awarded to Indus $$279,222.75. This work consists of pulverizing the full depth of the existing pavement, blending the pulverized pavement with a predetermined depth of underlying underlying subbase material, a stabilizing agent (foamed asphalt), water and other additives (as specified by the mix design) into a homogenous mixture. This mixture is then placed with a paver and compacted to the depth, grade, and slope specified by the owner and in accordance with these specifications. Stabilized full-depth asphalt reclamation and paving at Ed Holcomb Road. Bidders shall furnish a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid price with the signed Bid. The bidder must be bondable for the stated size of any project where the work is requested by the Town. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as Pavement-Reclamation, for the project with an estimated gross value of $507,000, will be required. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of M.G.L. c. 30, 39M. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the opening of bids. Wages are subject to Massachusetts minimum wage rates as per M.G.L. c. 149, 26 - 27D. Owner reserves the right to formally waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid in which, in their opinion, is in the public interest to do so. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Question Deadline 04/13/2026 at 5:00 PM ET
