Site work for a water / sewer project in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This work involves disconnecting existing water meters from the service water lines located at the rear or side of the properties and connecting new water service lines of the residences to the existing water meter at the front of the property as shown on the attached sketch in the appendices. The contractor shall meet the property owners or tenants where the conversion will be performed. The property owner shall have the opportunity to review the proposed route and provide input. The contractor shall obtain the owner's signature for all required permits and shall be responsible for applying for and obtaining the required permits, including preparing the plumbing or electric permit application, pulling plumbing or electric permits, and any other required permits from the Building Office of the municipality in which the work is to be performed. The original bid bond security in the form of a bid bond or cashier's check must be delivered to WASD before the bids are opened. Failure to deliver the original will result in the bid submission being rejected as non-responsive. If multiple bids are submitted by the same company, all submitted bids will be rejected. Training on electronic bid submission is available. The RFI cut-off date is five business days prior to the bid due date. Liquidated damages are $1,000.00 per day. The RFI cut-off date is five (5) business days prior to the bid due date.
