The work under this contract includes but is not necessarily limited to providing labor, materials and equipment to prepare crosswalks, placement and patterning of the polymer surface, and other related work. The crosswalks (TOTAL OF 15) expected to be included under this contract shall be: o 3 - Crosswalks at Washington Street; Intersecting with Gay Street o 1 - Crosswalk at Washington Street; Intersecting with Croft Regis Road o 1 - Crosswalk at Washington Street; St. Dennis Church o 1 - Crosswalk at Washington Street; Intersecting with Dean Avenue o 4 - Crosswalks at Washington Street; Intersecting with School Street and East Street o 3 - Crosswalks at Washington Street; Intersecting with Brookfield Road o 2 - Crosswalks at Washington Street; Intersecting with Clapboardtree Street and Everett Street The Installation of polymer cement surfacing for asphalt and concrete surfaces service is on an as needed basis and the Town does not guarantee a minimum in the bid period. The Town of Westwood reserves the right to add or delete from the list or roads. Unit Quantities Specified: o Quantities and measurements indicated in this IFB are for bidding and contract purposes only. Quantities and measurements ACTUALLY supplied or placed in the Work and verified by the Engineer shall determine payment. o If the actual Work requires greater or lesser quantities than those quantities indicated in the Bid Form, Contractor shall provide the required quantities at the unit price contracted. This work consists of installing a polymer cement surface system (PCSS), colored or base color, on a prepared substrate in accordance with these specifications and with the plans established by the engineer. The resulting surface may be patterned or monolithic as required by the design plans. The work shall be performed utilizing the products, processes, equipment, and certifications of Endurablend(TM) Systems, or an approved equal. Approved equal materials shall have proven in-place history over asphalt and/or concrete and should meet all the material properties and be installed in accordance with this specification.
