Site work and paving for a road / highway in Galena, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Repaving of various streets in Galena with 2-inch hot mix asphalt overlay including adjustment of utility covers. Bids will be on a total sum basis; segregated bids are not acceptable. Contractors and subcontractors must not discriminate in employment practices. All bids must be accompanied by a bank draft, cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond payable to the City of Galena for 10 percent of the total amount of the bid. All work done under this contract is subject to all requirements of the Department of Labor, State of Illinois, and must pay the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Department of Labor and the Owner. Contractors must comply with the Drug Free Workplace Act (Source: P.A. 86-1459). All contractors who intend to bid must inform the City Engineer if they download bid documents so any addenda can be issued. The City of Galena reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
