Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Greenville, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The work generally includes the rehabilitation of Taxiway B, south of Taxiway F to Runway 36R at the Mid-Delta Regional Airport. The rehabilitation consists of milling, hot mix asphalt overlay, crack sealing, installation of new pavement markings, paved shoulder removal, and shoulder redressing. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond equal to 5% of the total bid is required. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and 100% Payment Bonds will be required. Each bid must be submitted in duplicate with bid security in accordance with the instructions to bidders found in the Project Manual. Each electronically submitted bid must be in "pdf" format and contain the same information and forms as required for paper bids. Electronic bids must be secured with a bid bond. If an electronically submitted bid has a corrupted attachment, it will be considered null and void. All bidders must be properly licensed contractors in accordance with the State of Mississippi and must indicate their current Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing their Bid, and on their Bid. The project is funded under provisions of the Airport and Airway Safety and Capacity Act of 1987. Mandatory federal requirements apply, including the Davis Bacon Act, Copeland Act, Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, Title VI of Civil Rights Act of 1964, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises participation, and several others. Bid documents are available via paper or digital copy through www.mbakerplanroom.com. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids. All questions about the meaning or intent ofthe Contract Documents are to be directed to ENGINEER. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to the Engineer and provided no later than Seventy-Two (72) hours prior to the advertised bid opening. Engineer's Estimate Base Bid - $1,300,000 to $1,400,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
