The work includes cleaning the existing Lincoln Tank, installation of a tank mixing system in the Lincoln Tank, and cleaning the existing Peary Tank. Bidders are required to furnish all labor and materials necessary to complete these tasks. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed container clearly marked with the project name. The time allowed for substantial completion of the contract is 45 consecutive calendar days. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Edmonson County Water District in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after opening, except before the scheduled opening time. Questions concerning bidding must be submitted in writing or by email to the Engineer, and responses will be circulated to all plan holders through addenda, if needed. The Edmonson County Water District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. Any bid that is obviously unbalanced may be rejected. The work to be accomplished under these specifications consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for: LINCOLN TANK o Cleaning of existing Lincoln Tank o Installation of a tank mixing system PEARY TANK o Cleaning of existing Peary Tank B. All materials and workmanship shall be in strict conformity with the current requirements of AWWA standards Welded Carbon Steel Tanks for Water Storage, D100, latest edition, and Coating Steel Water Storage Tanks, D102, latest edition, and other applicable AWWA standards, unless otherwise set out herein. C. For the convenience of the CONTRACTOR, a location map of the subject tank is included as Appendix 2 in the contract documents. D. Photos of the interior and exterior of the tank are included on electronic media in Appendix 1 All questions concerning the bidding of this project shall be officially answered by the Engineer.
