The Edmonson County Water District is accepting bids for a new standby generator to be installed at the River Hill pump station location. Bid information and specifications are available at the Water District office. Bids must be returned in a sealed envelope clearly noted as a sealed standby generator bid. Awards will be based on the "best value" with the best conforming bid, and the right to reject any and all bids is expressly reserved. Questions concerning bids should be addressed to Kevin Shaw, Manager, Edmonson County Water District. Scope of Work: 1. Generator System: Provide and install (1) 250kW diesel-powered generator. Generator to be equipped with a 48-hour runtime sub-base fuel tank. Generator to be outdoor-rated and mounted on a new poured concrete pad. The system shall be rated and configured to power both single-phase and three-phase loads individually or simultaneously. 2. Concrete Pad Installation: Excavate and form area for generator pad per manufacturer specifications and local code. Pour reinforced concrete pad suitable for generator size, weight, and tank configuration. Provide conduit stub-ups for power and control wiring. 3. Transfer Switches: Service A - River Hill Pump Station: Install one (1) 600 AMP 240V 3-phase 4 pole (switched neutral) non-service entrance rated automatic transfer switch. Switch to be outdoor-rated and sized for future load expansion. Service B - Edmonson County Maintenance Shop: Install one (1) 200 AMP 120/240V single-phase 3-wire service entrance rated automatic transfer switch. Switch to be outdoor-rated and comply with NEC service entrance requirements. 4. Electrical Integration: Coordinate shutdowns with utility provider for transfer switch installation. Route and terminate all required feeder and control wiring between generator and transfer switches. Label all conductors, conduits, and panels per code and site standard. 5. Testing and Commissioning: Perform full startup, testing, and commissioning of the generator system and both transfer switches. Verify proper operation of both services under generator power. Provide training for County personnel on system operation and basic maintenance. 6. Permits and Code Compliance: All work to be performed in accordance with NEC, NFPA, and local code requirements. o Obtain and coordinate required permits and inspections.
