The work consists of approximately 500 linear feet of new 24-inch reinforced concrete storm sewer pipe, related appurtenances, and associated pavement reconstruction, along with 1,445 linear feet of new low-profile curb/gutter. All bid responses are to be submitted electronically through the City of McAllen's bidding portal. Original, hard copy, and late bids will not be accepted. To view the solicitation, access plans and specifications, and submit a bid response, bidders must first register in the City's bidding portal. Solicitation documents will not be mailed, e-mailed, or provided in person. A Bidder's Bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas or a certified Cashier's Check (Bid Security) payable without recourse to the City of McAllen, for at least five percent (5%) of the total bid, must be submitted via a sealed envelope before the electronic bid opening date and time. Failure to submit the bid security will result in disqualification. The original Bid Security should be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked. It may be hand-delivered, sent by land courier, or mailed to the addresses provided. The City of McAllen reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all bids, waive any or all formalities or technicalities, or accept the bid considered the best value to the city, and to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days without taking action.
