South Texas College seeks a qualified provider for the purchase and installation of new audiovisual equipment in Building A (Continuing Education and Testing Center) at the Pecan Campus in McAllen, Texas. The work includes 10 classroom-style rooms, 1 conference room, and 1 digital signage location. The awarded audiovisual vendor is responsible for supplying and installing all specified audiovisual equipment, providing and installing all necessary mounting/support hardware, performing all assembly and wiring, and ensuring systems are fully operational and in first-class condition. Installation accessories required include, but are not limited to, mud rings, split pass-through wall plates, J-hooks, snake mesh, and zip ties. Only audiovisual trained technical employees with a minimum of five years’ experience in AV equipment installation are to perform the work. Installations must adhere to project specifications, manufacturer recommendations, and all relevant codes. The vendor is responsible for field verification, coordination with owner-furnished equipment, signal verification, and all submittals required for project completion. The owner (STC) will handle work orders for electrical infrastructure and AV system configuration. Quality assurance, final tests, demonstrations, and owner training/familiarization are required before final acceptance. All work must meet the specified standards for professional quality and reliability. Substitutions for specified products require prior written approval. Warranty for all parts, labor, and workmanship is required for a period of one year from final acceptance, with warranty service rendered within 48 hours of owner request. Two copies of as-installed equipment lists, owner’s manuals, and manufacturer warranties must be provided before final acceptance. Only new and unused equipment, cables, and accessories are to be furnished and installed. The contractor is also required to cooperate and coordinate with other contractors working on related aspects of the project and provide documentation as needed for project completion and owner satisfaction. All work must be completed within the designated timeframe and in accordance with the contract terms and conditions. Proposals must meet content, formatting, submission, and documentation requirements as detailed in the instructions. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or award multiple contracts as deemed in their best interest. Minimum experience, references, and qualifications must be provided as part of the proposal submission.
