As of April 28, 2026 the project has been awarded. The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking bids for the rehabilitation of one building located in Mayes County. The scope of work includes appliances, carpentry, drywall and finish, electrical, flooring, HVAC, paint and finish, plumbing, sheetmetal, and gutters. The project must be fully completed within 45 working days, or the contractor will be charged $100.00 per working day for each day over the end date. A purchase order will be issued to the responsible contractor who provides the lowest, most responsive bid in accordance with the procurement policy. To be considered, bidders must fully complete the mandatory bid response sheet. Bids may be mailed, emailed, or hand delivered, and it is the bidder's responsibility to ensure delivery by the specified deadline. Bids received after the deadline will not be considered. Indian and Non-Indian bidders may submit bids. Indian preference will be given only to those with proof of current certification from the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO), and all TERO requirements and fees apply. The successful bidder must complete the TERO Labor Agreement and pay all applicable fees. The contract is subject to Section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, regarding Indian preference in contract awards.
