The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking bids for the rehabilitation of one home located in Cherokee County. The work includes appliances, carpentry, drywall and finish, paint and finish, and plumbing, to be completed according to the work write-up. The project must be finished within 20 working days and should begin within two weeks of notification, or liquidated damages of $100.00 per working day will be charged for extensions past the contract end date. To be considered responsive and responsible, bidders must fully complete the Mandatory Bid Response sheet and the Work Write Up. Preference will be given to TERO-certified bidders, and proof of certification must accompany submissions. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all Tribal rules, regulations, and TERO requirements. Award will be based on the lowest, most responsive bid, subject to fund availability. Bids must be submitted by the deadline, and it is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure timely delivery. Bids received after the deadline will not be considered. Bidders are responsible for all preparation and submission costs, and no bid may be withdrawn within 30 days after the due date. The Housing Authority reserves the right to determine bid compliance, reject any and all bids, and award based on the best interest of the Housing Authority, including total cost and bidder capability. Additional requirements include compliance with Section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, payment of TERO fees, completion of the TERO Labor Agreement, and submission of all required paperwork for contract execution.
