The Northeast Vernon County R-1 School District is requesting sealed-bid proposals from qualified contractors to provide mowing and general grounds maintenance services for district properties. The contractor will be responsible for mowing and related grounds maintenance, including routine mowing of all designated areas, trimming around buildings, fences, sidewalks, and other obstacles, edging along sidewalks, curbs, and entrances, blowing off grass clippings from walkways, parking lots, and entrances, removal of debris before mowing as needed, and maintaining a neat and professional appearance of all grounds. Locations include the Walker Campus at 216 E Leslie Ave, Walker, MO 64790 and the Schell City Campus at 150 N Hickory, Schell City, MO 64783. Bidders must include in their proposals: the proposed mowing schedule (e.g. weekly, bi-weekly, or as needed), cost per mowing or monthly/seasonal rate, description of equipment to be used, number of personnel assigned to the job, proof of licensing and insurance, and experience with school or commercial properties. The proposed contract term is 1 year. Payment terms must be clearly outlined. All bid proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Mowing Services Bid – Northeast Vernon County R-1.” Submission deadline is April 15, 2026, by 12:00 PM.
