The Lamar R-1 School District is seeking proposals for the West Elementary Dome Summer Roof Replacement. This project includes removing the existing roof, replacing the roof, and fixtures. Proposals must be returned on the form provided and must include all pages of the proposal request, including a signature page signed by an authorized firm representative. Bidders are required to provide two references with their proposal. Non-conformance with these instructions may be grounds for rejection of the proposal. The contract will be awarded based on the proposal that best meets the District's needs, as determined by the District. The District reserves the right to reject any proposals or any part thereof and waive technicalities in the RFP process. Any such decision shall be considered final. Dome Roof Project Requirements - The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, supervision, and disposal necessary to complete the project. Removing the Roof -Removal and disposal of existing roofing materials -Inspection of roof decking and replacement of damaged areas with like material (Priced per sheet) Replacement of Roof -Installation of new synthetic or felt underlayment -Installation of new ice and water shield at eaves and at penetrations -Installation of new 30-year architectural asphalt shingles -Installation of new aluminum or galvanized drip edge -Installation of new flashing -Step flashing and counter flashing where required -Remove + Replace Existing Vents Miscellaneous Requirements -Site protection and daily cleanup -Protect landscaping, sidewalks, playgrounds, and school property -Maintain safe access to building entrances -Coordinate with the school administration for work hours -Clear debris daily -All sealers and fasteners must meet manufacturer specifications -Final inspection and warranty documentation -Approximate roof area: 92 Squares
