Renovation of a retail development in Lamar, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a retail development.
The City of Lamar is requesting sealed Statements of Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified engineering and architectural firms for design and construction inspection services related to its Downtown Revitalization project. Activities include exterior commercial façade repairs (storefront updates, window and door replacement, masonry and stucco repair, exterior painting, awning replacement), structural stabilization of deteriorated building elements, exterior drainage improvements (guttering and downspouts), eligible system upgrades benefiting the commercial portion, sidewalk replacement, landscaping enhancements, accessibility improvements, and upgrades to the overall appearance of the downtown area. Work must comply with applicable state and federal CDBG requirements. This RFQ covers the Preliminary Engineering Report for each structure provided. Preliminary engineering and design will be contracted and negotiated separately. Final agreements are contingent on full grant award and funding commitment. Submissions will be evaluated on professional qualifications, relevant project experience (especially with CDBG or downtown revitalization projects), firm capacity and availability of personnel, familiarity with Lamar and the project area, past performance and references, MBE/WBE/DBE and Section 3 firm status, and documentation of compliance with E-Verify requirements. MBE/WBE/DBE and Section 3 businesses are encouraged to respond.
