Bids are being solicited for an Asphaltic-Concrete Paving Overlay. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the bidder’s name, address, and project name. All bids must be made on the required Bid Form, completed in ink or typewritten, with all prices filled in. The Owner may waive informalities or minor defects or reject any and all bids. Payment is made for actual quantities of work performed and accepted. Bidder must specify unit and total prices without alterations or erasures. Proposals must be signed as specified for individuals, partnerships, joint ventures, or corporations. The successful bidder must provide proof of registration (as applicable) and insurance, and furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price. Surety companies must be licensed in Missouri and included on the U.S. Treasury Department’s approved list. No Bid Bond is required. Award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and examine the site and documents prior to bidding. Conditional qualified bids will not be accepted. Successful bidders must comply with Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations requirements and are eligible for sales tax exemption on qualifying materials. Liquidated damages will be assessed for delays beyond the project completion period stated in the proposal. Final payment is contingent upon submission of required lien waivers and releases. All entries and signatures must match the contractor’s qualification documentation.
