Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Troutman, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a office development; retail development; and conference / convention center.
The project involves the construction of the Iredell County Farmers Market in Troutman, NC, on the existing Iredell County Fairgrounds. Work for this phase includes the setting of a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) for the market, with spaces for approximately 30 vendor stalls, restrooms, concessions, storage areas, a conference room, and office spaces. Site-specific work includes demolition, earthwork, utilities, paving, and landscaping. Principal trade contractors are solicited for various bid packages including general trades, concrete, masonry, siding, doors, coiling doors, aluminum storefront & windows, drywall, flooring, epoxy flooring, painting, specialties & accessories, awnings, kitchen equipment, window treatments, pre-engineered metal building, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, electrical/low voltage/security, earthwork/asphalt paving/utilities, concrete paving, fencing, and landscaping. Additional packages may be added or deleted by the owner and construction manager. Sealed bids must be submitted following the instructions provided, and the process will follow a systematic public opening. No fax or email submissions are permitted. Only bids from prequalified bidders will be accepted, and the Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to add or reject prequalified bidders or bids. There is a 10% MWBE (Minority and Women Business Enterprise) participation goal for this project, and historically underutilized and minority business participation is strongly encouraged. Support and custom solutions are available for MWBE subcontractors, including quick pay arrangements, modified insurance limits, bonding access or alternative solutions, joint check agreements, and breakup of bid packages to support cash flow. Pre-qualification requirements: Bids will only be accepted from prequalified bidders. The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to add prequalified bidders.
