The work includes concrete foundations, PEMB, and electrical work within the limits of the site as described in the drawings and general scope of work. Each bid must be submitted on the Bid Form(s) provided in the Bid Documents along with the other required documents, including but not limited to the E-Verify Memorandum of Understanding, Certificate of Compliance with the Beason-Hammon Act, and insurance information. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the St. Clair County Commission in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, must accompany the bidder's proposal. If the bid amount is over $50,000.00 a copy of the general contractor's license must be provided. The envelope containing the bid must be sealed and marked with the word "BID", the name of the Project, Bidder's Name, License Number, Classification and Expiration Date. The bid must contain evidence of Bidder's authority and qualifications to perform the work in the state where the Project is located, or a covenant to obtain such qualification prior to award of the Contract. Bids without the license number on the front of the envelope will not be accepted. Bids received after the set time will not be considered and will be returned unopened. The St. Clair County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to its interests.
