Sealed bids are requested for the supply of LIMESTONE (#57(GRAY), 89 (GRAY), & 610 (GRAY)) to be delivered to various locations throughout Ascension Parish. There is also an alternate bid for limestone to be picked up by Parish trucks. Bids must be submitted on a price per ton basis for a one-year period. All material ordered for delivery must be delivered within fifteen (15) working days from the date of order, and all material ordered for pick-up must be available within seventy-two (72) hours of the date of order. During a declared state of emergency, delivery must begin within six (6) hours of request. Bidders must have a minimum of $300,000 General Liability Insurance and Workmen's Compensation Insurance; proof must be provided before delivery. The Parish prefers vendors with suitable on-site inventory and the ability to provide material for pick-up in less than seventy-two (72) hours. Bids may be deemed non-responsive if requirements cannot be met. The Parish reserves the right to disqualify bids from businesses not in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State or not authorized to do business in Louisiana, and to reject any and all bids for just cause.
