The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of work shown on the plans and described in the specifications. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to: Installation of approximately 25,342 ft of sidewalks and associated curb ramps; signing and striping including the installation of crosswalks, pedestrian traffic signal relocations, and drainage modifications. This is a Federal Aid Project and NYSDOT Standard Specifications must be followed by the successful bidder. The DBE goal for this project is 0%. There are no MBE/WBE/SDVOB goals. EEO Employment goals for this project are 7.7% Minority and 6.9% Women Employment. The use of NYSDOT approved civil rights reporting software (EBO) is required. No residential or geographical restrictions will be in effect. Applicable Federal requirements take precedence over State and local requirements unless state and local requirements are more stringent. Bid Documents may be downloaded from the designated website for a non-refundable fee. Prospective bidders must register with the designated website as a plan holder to receive all official notifications, addenda, and other bid documents. Bids must include the completed Bid Form, Non-Collusive Bidding and Disbarment Certifications, Lobbying Certifications, and for federally funded contracts the completed DBE Participation Package. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than 5% of the bid. Bids must be received in a sealed envelope by the specified deadline and clearly labeled. For bids to be considered, the bidder must be registered with the NYS Department of Labor before submitting a bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid, have an approved CCA-2 on file with NYSDOT, comply with Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses, and pay prevailing wage rates. The sponsor reserves the right to consider the bids for forty-five days before awarding and to waive any minor informalities or reject any and all bids. All bids are subject to final review and approval before any award of contract may be made. Questions During Bidding: No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other contract documents will be made to any bidder orally.
